You Are Not Alone

For so many athletes, the sport is more than competition, or even winning and losing; it is a person's identity. However, that similar dedication which fuels and inspires performance can also add pressure, anxiety, depression, relationship disturbances, issues with food and exercise, even burnout. More often than not physical conditioning is the piece that is prioritized, while mental health is often overlooked, leaving athletes to feel isolated and struggle in silence.
By reducing the stigma, increasing access to specialized support, and promoting a culture that values mental health, athletes have the ability to thrive. Prioritizing mental health helps athletes perform at their best, while providing protection to who they are outside of the sport. Therapy provides a supportive and compassionate space to navigate these adversities while honoring the unique identity as an athlete. Protecting and caring for one’s mental health is not a sign of weakness, its strength, balance and courage provides the ability to heal for life long success.

If you’re an athlete, or support someone who is, you are not alone. Reaching out for help is a powerful step toward both healing and growth.
